PM Dean Barrow Marrying Fiance in February
Thu, January 15, 2009

And while Price never married, the other unwed Prime Minister will soon be married, for the second time. Prime Minister Dean Barrow will wed his fiancée Kim Simplis on February 7th in Savannah, Georgia. That’s according to the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, a newspaper out of Georgia which details the wedding plan. The wedding will take place at the Episcopal Church of St. Paul the Apostle and will be officiated by Belize’s Anglican Bishop, Phillip Wright.

Why Savannah? Well, Kim Simplis’s mother lives there and so do a number of her siblings. But more than that, the article quotes her as saying that they wanted a private wedding away from all the fuss. It adds that she will be wearing a Monique Lhuillier floor-length wedding gown, while, according to Simplis, the Prime Minister will be, quote “looking more at Armani or something like that."

The couple's 3-year-old daughter, Salima, will be a flower girl.
