There is an opportunity for collaboration between service industries
in Belize and in Barbados. This morning the Barbados Coalition of Service Industries
along with BELTRAIDE – held the first in a series of forums aimed at bringing
together service providers from the two territories. The project’s manager
Michelle Hustler told us how it will work.
Michelle Hustler, Barbados Coalition of Service Providers
“This forum is a chance to hear presentation on doing business in
Barbados, doing business in Belize, the important of strategic alliances in
export processing and also the training participants had a chance to let the
Belize community know their objectives and mission and who they would like to
meet with.”
Keith Swift,
How can Belizean businesses benefit from this?
Michelle Hustler,
“Well what I am hoping that happens is that relationships are formed
that will be mutually beneficial to both parties, meaning the Barbadian trade
mission participants will establish relationships in Belize that will help them
doing business forward and hopefully that the Belize business community will
undertake a mission to Barbados and see how they can do business in Barbados
going forward as well.”
The mission continues through to Thursday. Interested service providers
can contact BELTRAIDE. |
