Butane prices are going up tomorrow. The price of a one hundred pound cylinder of gas will increase $3, from $87 to $90 in Belize City. The prices countrywide will also increase by $3. The last butane price increase was in February when it jumped $7. Government says the increase is due to the increased acquisition cost.

We have also been reliably but unofficially informed that the price of fuel will also increase over the weekend. We were unable to confirm when the increases in gasoline will take effect. But again remember – the price of butane goes up tomorrow.
