Jalacte Village, it’s a remote south-western border outpost in the Toledo
District where Guatemalans and Belizeans move and live freely between both countries.
But police say a 39 year old Guatemalan farmer of Jalacte Village named Santos
Moh violated that spirit of easy coexistence by possession of some powerful
ammunition.
A search was conducted inside his home where police found three rounds of ammunition
for an assault rifle, specifically 5.56 rounds. Seven persons who were inside
the house at the time of the search and discovery have all been detained. They
are Santos Moh, nineteen year old Luis Moh, twenty one year old Guatemalan soldier
Arnoldo Moh, thirty seven year old Natividad Kib and three minors, all of Jalacte
Village in the Toledo District. They were detained pending charges. |
