The price for a gallon of premium gas zoomed past the $9 mark at midnight last night. A gallon of premium gas in the city is now $9.09. That is an increase of 38 cents. The previous price was $8.71. The price for a gallon of regular gas also went up by 38 cents and is now $8.74. Diesel had the biggest jump by 40 cents – from $7.41 to $7.81.
