At the end of last night’s new we told you about a shooting at the corner of Mex and Amara Avenues. The victim is 19 year old Peter Myvette and he was shot in his back and right hand. He declined to be interviewed by the media but investigations suggest that he may know more than what he has told police.

At six forty he was on Amara Avenue talking with his girlfriend when he saw a gray heavily tinted vehicle approaching. It is not known if Peter Myvette recognized the vehicle or knew who may have been inside but what he did next makes it suspicious to investigators. A police press release states that upon seeing the vehicle Peter Myvette jumped on his bicycle and rode off. Shortly after a man approached him, took out a gun and fired three shots at him.

Myvette was rushed to the KHMH and is recovering at the KHMH. He declined an interview and Belize City police have no leads in this case.
