The Armed Robbery at Mirab
Thu, December 24, 2009

In last night’s newscast we told you about the armed robbery at Mirab’s Furniture at mile one on the Western Highway. Police have released scant details reporting that at 2:45 on Wednesday a brown skinned male entered pointed a pistol at the manager and demanded money. She handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and he rode off on bicycle. And here’s where it gets interesting. We were initially informed that as he fled he shot at this Isuzu Rodeo in the parking lot.

Well, that’s only part of the story. Police report that a Justice of the Peace who was shopping followed the gunman. Seeing that he was being pursued, the robber fired several shots – damaging the Rodeo. Police say they have detained tow persons pending investigation.
