City Shooting
Thu, April 22, 2010
There was a shooting last night in Belize City but fortunately no one was seriously hurt. It happened at Hong Loo Shop at #44Tigris Street at 7:30 pm, when Chinese businessman Zhaugi Lu, reported that at 7:30pm, a dark complexioned man entered his store, pointed a handgun and fired a single shot causing an abrasion on his right arm. The man ran out and police say they know who they are looking for.

And later last night – also in the city, Leon Gentle and his friend Cameron Goff were at Fuller's Alley when his attention was drawn to Kenrick Longsworth and Robert Roches. He claims Longworth took out what appears to be a firearm, pointed it at him and was about to fire but the firearm snapped. Fearing for their lives, Goff and Gentle hopped over a fence and escaped unhurt. Rapid Police response led to the arrest of Kenrick Longsworth, of a Castle Street address. Police are now looking for Roches.
