Mother-Killers Were From City
Fri, May 14, 2010
On Sunday night at 10:30 Santa Elena witnessed one of the most ruthless murders of the year. 27 year old owner of Alwin's restaurant Zhennong Zhen was carrying her infant child in a sling on her back when she was shot straight through the chest by armed robbers.

A post mortem showed that the bullet went right through her aorta - which is the main blood vessel that feeds the heart; she fell backwards unto the small, screaming child - who the bullet missed by mere inches as it exited his mother's back.

It was a shock to the town, and residents said there's no way such heartless killers could have been from Cayo. Tonight, police say they have proof that they weren't.

Three Belize City males: two adults and one minor were this evening charged for the murder. They are 18 year old Anthony David Glenn Dennison of #94 Boots Crescent, 20 year old Denfield Alwin Tasher of no. 42 Mohammed Ali Street, and a 15 year old minor also of Belize City were charged for murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit murder.

The interesting part is that 29 year old Kurt Carlton Morgan - a San Ignacio resident was also charged. But our information says that police don't believe he participated in the crime - but they say he is the one who set up the robbery and delivered them to Cayo to do the crime.

And while Morgan was arrested in San Ignacio Police found the trio in Belize City - after one of them was being detained for another crime and reportedly confessed to the murder.

They will go to court on Monday.
