| Marine Parade is one of the most popular areas in the city for a casual walk, but walking there at night can turn a casual stroll into crime time. And that's what happened to Arnold Awayo, a twenty year old student, who reported that last night around 9:30, he was walking along Marine Parade near Celebrity Restaurant in Belize City with a female friend when they were robbed.
Awayo said that four men rode up to them on bicycles and one of them asked him for a dollar. He then robbed Awayo of a cell phone, a flash drive and a wallet while also snatching a purse with one hundred dollars from the female.
The men then rode off in the direction of Princess Hotel.
