The Streets’ Most Wanted Narrowly Escapes Death
Fri, October 1, 2010
Edward Lord is one of the most wanted men on the city's streets - and he narrowly escaped death last night. The 23 year old was shot to the face. It happened around 9 o'clock on Moya Street in the St Martin's area. Lord was in a yard at the time when a man wearing a camouflage jacket - approached him and fired a shot - hitting him on the side of the face. The bullet entered through his left jaw and exited through the right side of his cheek. Lord was rushed to the hospital - where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

In 2005 Lord was charged with the murder of University Librarian Sherwin Requena which was later dropped in May of 2007. 3 months later in 2007 he was accused for the murder of George Junie Balls Mackenzie -the most notorious gangster in the history of Belize. But after serving 18 months behind bars - Edward Lord was once again released in March of 2009 - when star witness of the shooting refused to testify.

On June 18th of this year - many believed the shooting of 28 year old Collin Lord - was intended for Edward Lord since he was at the same house and fled the scene shortly before the shooting incident.
