Alleged Williams Shooters Out On Bail
Tue, November 2, 2010
The two men accused of shooting the Prime Minister's law partner, attorney Rodwel Williams are out on bail tonight. 27 year old Ricky Valencio and 18 year old Akeem Thurton were offered bail last week - and they met it today. Both men were released on bails of eight thousand dollars each today.

Williams was shot in his abdomen on the night of May 31 while he was leaving his law firm on Albert Street and was walking towards his vehicle in the parking lot.

Investigators believe that Valencio and Thurton were contracted to kill him.

They were eligible for bail because the required 90 days for the magistrate to be able to offer bail had already passed. So when they appeared in the Magistrate's Court on Friday, October 29th, they were offered bail by the Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie. They are to return to court on December 29.
