“Hogbone” Shot After “Ham”

On October 22nd. we told you about Marcos Swazo a 10 year old who was shot in the foot while on his way home from playing basketball at 7:00 pm.

Now police say they have the man who did it. He is Twenty eight year old Avondale Fuller Trumback - known as Hogbone - and the odd part is the man he was allegedly targeting is nicknamed "Ham".

Porcine references aside, Trumbach was charged with 2 counts of attempted murder when he appeared today in Magistrate's Court.

He was also charged with 2 counts of use of deadly means of harm, grievous harm and wounding.

No plea was taken from him because the offences are indictable. Chief Magistrate Margaret Mckenzie explained to him that the court cannot offer him bail because of the nature of the offences she remanded him into custody until December 7th. The incident occurred around 7pm on Thursday, October 21 on Antelope Street Extension.

Police reports are that shots were fired from a van and 27 year old Michael - Ham - Young , the intended target, and a boy who is a primary school student, were shot. Two other boys were grazed by the bullets.
