Man Pleads Guilty to Glock Possession
Tue, November 16, 2010
Twenty eight year old Robert Serano, an auto mechanic who was one of three men charged with firearm and ammunition offences, was sentenced to 2 years for each count after he pleaded guilty to the charges today in the magistrate's Court. Magistrate Dorothy flowers who imposed the sentence stipulated that they are to run concurrently.

With the guilty plea, the charges against the other 34 year old Jeferdee Williams and 28 year old Edward Mckoy, were withdrawn by the prosecution.

Ladyville Police intercepted the trio who looked like they were going on a move.

At 12:15 am they blew past the burrell Boom checkpoint on the Northern Highway in a white Isuzu Rodeo. The police set after the vehicle and when they forced the driver to pull over, they found the glock 9 with 8 live rounds on the floor of the front passenger side.

Serano's story was that he found the firearm and he was going to hand it in to the police but he misplaced it.

A likely story since police also found white gloves and plastic bags in the SUV, along with clothing fitted with holes to work as a mask.
