And in other news from the Supreme Court, a new temporary judge was sworn in today; he is Justice Denis Hanomansingh, a native of Guyana.
Justice Hanomansingh's contract is for six months and it takes effect from Wednesday, December 1.
Justice Hanomansingh will be doing criminal matters in the Northern District session of the Supreme Court.
Before he came to work in Belize he was a judge in Barbados and also served as Director of Public Prosecutions in Guyana.
HE was sworn in by acting Chief Justice Sam Lungole Awich.
