The Belize Recycling Company located on St Jude's Street - just adjacent to the Belize Civic Center became a crime scene around 4 o'clock this afternoon.
Details remain sketchy at this time but we understand that 2 men entered the establishment, one of whom was armed with a knife. Inside the store at the time was the owner Mira Gilharry. In an attempt to rob the business, a knife was placed to her throat by one of the assailants.
Luckily for her, she only received a small cut wound to her neck - and was taken to the KHMH for treatment. The men left off empty-handed. Police say they have received some leads and are likely to make an arrest before the day is done.
