Chris Bowman Returns “Much Better”
Mon, May 9, 2011
Chris Bowman - the young man with the massive tumour left Belize on April fifteenth for specialized treatment in the united states.

He returned yesterday after receiving $170 thousand US dollars in treatment and care, all free.

He is steel confined to a wheelchair, but he looks much better. Here's what he told us today:….

Chris Bowman
"I feel happy I am back home and my mother is happy to see me back home in one piece for mother's day. I am really glad."

Odessa Orosco, Chris's Mother
"When I went to the airport with Ms. Moore yesterday, while the vehicle was slowing down and she told me 'see Chris there' I jump out of that vehicle and ran to my son, you know why? Because i know that God is good and Chris looks different from how he use to look first."

Chris Bowman
"I feel much better ever since they took this off from me. They haven't really completely taken it off, 60% of is dilute and the swelling went down for me, so I feel much better now. I don't have any pain right now."

Jules Vasquez
"What's happening to your tumor right now? What's happening to it?"

Chris Bowman
"To me it's going down slowly. It not going down fast, it is going down slowly because they took off one of my bad vein to stopping it from growing into puberty. So as you can see the chest looks different from ever since I got through. I just want to thank all the doctors who stood by my side to help me out 100%. My doctor finds a tumor on my spine which is giving me problems to walk. So if what they find down here will be more suitable it will go good down here and the rest will take place back over there in the US."

Odessa Orosco, Chris's Mother
"I want to thank Mr. Emilio Zabaneh, his wife, his mother. I want to thank Mrs. Yvonne Moore."

Chris is expected to be evaluated in August in Belize. The doctor from Oklahoma will come to Belize to partner with Dr. Adrian Coye for further medical treatment.

In a five and a half hour procedure, The doctor was able to decrease the blood flow to the benign tumor by 60%. That means there is still 40% blood flow remaining. So, The tumor was not removed, it reduced with the decreased blow flow. This will likely cause the tumor to shrink with time and he will have the tumor for a lifetime.
