Vindication For Belize High Commissioner To UK
Wed, May 18, 2011
Belize's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Kamela Palma was in the bad books back in November when no less than the Prime Minister came out to say that she had addressed her ministry's CEO inappropriately when she challenged him on an administrative matter. Palma was sacked and then quite quick re-hired when she agreed to apologize to the CEO.

Well, she's rebounded nicely from that ugly public flap by winning an award for diplomat of the year for the America's from Diplomat Magazine - an international publication, for - you guessed it - diplomats.

The blurb in the magazine says, quote: "despite coming for a small country Ms. Palma constantly promotes the issues of her country as well as the region."

We're sure her CEO is proud.
