| And, keeping it in the Cayo district, there was another terrifying home invasion, this one in Belmopan. No one was killed, but that hardly detracts from the terror one family felt when a machete-wielding intruder entered their home on Christmas morning.
IT happened at 2:00 am when a mother awoke to hear her 11 year old daughter screaming. She ran to her daughter's room and saw a man with a machete grabbing her daughter's hair.
The man then used the machete to slash off a handful of hair and also cut her finger.
The man then ran off. Police have not disclosed the area of Belmopan where it happened and have not detained anyone.
