Table Tennis Makes Strides In City Schools
Tue, February 14, 2012
The Belize Table Tennis Association is trying to introduce table tennis - or what you might call "ping-pong" in Primary Schools. And making a great leap forward, today the Association delivered the necessary equipment to three city schools.

Wesley Primary School, Trinity Methodist School and St. Mary's Primary School were selected for the first set of equipment since they have suitable facilities for table tennis.

The teachers were trained by the BTTA and an expert in November of last year, so the schools can move towards the development of a table tennis curriculum. More schools will follow later on in the month, and a primary school tournament is already scheduled for summer of this year.
