Electrician With A Gun
Tue, June 12, 2012
26 year-old Alex Soler, an electrician from Ladyville, is at prison tonight after he was allegedly busted with a firearm.

According to police, at about 12:50 a.m. on Sunday, they were on mobile patrol on the Northern Highway when they spotted Soler acting suspicious in front of the Celina's Night Club in Ladyville.

Because of his behavior, the officers searched him, and they discovered a 9mm pistol in his front pants waists. The firearm was also loaded with a magazine containing 14 live rounds of 9mm ammunition.

As a result, the police arrested Soler and charged him with keeping an unlicensed firearm, and keeping unlicensed ammunition.

He was brought before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer this morning where he was arraigned for those 2 charges. He pleaded not guilty to the offenses but because he is charged in relation to a firearm, he could not be granted bail.

Senior Magistrate Frazer was forced to remand him, and he will be brought back to court on July 31.
