Marijuana At Fresh Pond
Tue, February 26, 2013
33 year-old Andy Alford, a Fresh Pond Villager, is at prison tonight after he was taken to Magistrate's Court for marijuana possession. Police searched his home at Fresh Pond at around 4 p.m. yesterday, and they found 113.1 - or approximately 3.99 ounces - of weed inside a van which was parked in front of his house. He was arrested and charged with drug trafficking, and he was arraigned before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith today.

Due to the fact that he has several convictions for drug offences, and he is a parolee, Chief Magistrate Smith couldn't grant him bail, and he was remanded to prison until his next court date on April 19, 2013. He must serve the rest of his sentence for the drug trafficking conviction he was out on parole for.
