Belmopan Police Building Morale

Superintendent Howell Gillett became the commanding officer of the Belmopan Police Station on April 30, and since then, he's been working out different strategies to improve performance within his jurisdiction.

He's been observing the success of precinct policing in Belize City, and after careful planning, Gillett will employ aspects of that model at the Belmopan Police Station.

He also says that he's working on building morale in the officers under his command:



Gillett tells us that he will reactivate a number of community policing initiatives, to increase the relationship between his officers and the community they serve.
