Teaching Lions To Swim
Wed, July 23, 2014

The Belize Lion Man competition takes places in September, but every year, the greatest challenge for the Belizean triathletes is swimming. Well, Denise Diaz, an experienced swim instructor, is hoping to change this by hosting a swimming competition along with a group named "Knead Belize" on Sunday, July 27th. The longest lap of the competition is 750 meters which is about half a mile, and about half of the lion man swim. We caught up with Diaz at the competition site on Marine Parade where she told more about the meet:

The competition will begin at 9 am to give time to competitors from other districts time to arrive. Another pre Lionman competition will be held on August 10th.
