Gilroy Gets Off
Wed, August 20, 2014

Gilroy Usher Jr, who you may know as the Secretary of COLA, the owner of First Stop Pawn Shop, or as a supporter of his Politician Father, Gilroy Sr., was able to walk out of court a free man today. That's after the prosecution withdrew charges against him in which he was accused of assaulting a police officer.

When the case was called up today, after 2 years of repeated adjournments, Magistrate Dale Cayetano struck it out for want of prosecution.

Back in August of 2012, the complainants, Bailiff Gabriel Casey and Police Constable Egar Poot, reported to police that Usher drew a firearm on both them, after he punched Poot on the right side of his face.

Usher was represented by attorney Ellis Arnold.
