| The National Garifuna Council has sent out a cautionary email about allegations of culturally discriminatory practices in banks within Dangriga Town. The release says that the council has heard an allegation that one of the banks in Dangriga Town is not permitting employees to speak in the Garifuna language - allegedly to each other, or to bank patrons. Now, it's not confirmed but the Council says it is investigating, adding, quote, "We will not stand aside and allow our rich cultural heritage to be disrespected by any entity, individual, or organization."
