Teenager Charged Once Again For BDF Volunteer’s Murder
Thu, September 4, 2014
Two years ago, 21 year old BDF volunteer soldier Isaac Cruz was killed at Militia Hall in Belize City. The alleged killer was another reservist, but he was only 17. The story at the time was that the two had some hard words, and the teenager had a BDF issued AR-15, so he shot and killed Cruz - right there on the military compound.

The 17 year old, who is now 19, is Jermaine Michael Rhaburn. He was charged for murder back in 2012, but he walked in April of this year when the case was struck out. So the last thing he could have expected was that he would be picked up at work this morning to be charged for murder, a second time. But that's just what happened based on a Directive from the DPP's Office.

And so, this afternoon at around 3:00, Jermaine Michael Rhaburn was escorted by the CIB to court to be charged for murder for a second time. No plea was taken from Rhaburn who was unrepresented. He was remanded to Prison until October 22, 2014.
