Thu, March 19, 2015
Tonight, 2 early childhood teachers who told the court they are employed as social workers for the Human Services Department are out on bail tonight after police allegedly raided their family's home in the Jane Usher Boulevard area and they found weed there.

According to police, they conducted a search at a house on Louise Bevans Street in the Port Loyola area yesterday. 21 year old James Herrera, his girlfriend, 26 year old Honduran national, Evelyn Gamboa Bermudez, with his sister in law, 20 year old, Deshawn Moguel were all present at the time when the officers reportedly discovered 77 grams - or 2.71 ounces of marijuana.

They were all arrested and charged with drug trafficking, and they were arraigned today before Magistrate Hettie Mae Stewart, and when they were asked for their personal information, the two women identified themselves at early childhood teachers who were employed with the Human Services Department, while Herrera reported to the court that he is a fisherman.

They all pleaded not guilty, and were released on bail of $3,000, and they must return to court on March 23 for their case's adjournment.
