Last night we told you about the 3 pounds of weed that was found on Casuarina Street. Well, the South Side Strike Team also made 2 other gun and drug busts in the City. Yesterday afternoon at around 12;30 police searched an abandoned lot on Jones Street in the Martin's Area where they found a black 9 millimeter pistol, 2 empty magazines, a .38 live round and two 12 gauge cartridges. No one was found in the area so all the weapons were deposited as found property.
Also later on at around 1:30, police searched an abandoned lot on Faber's Road and found a black plastic bag containing about one and a half pounds of weed and another plastic bag with less than an ounce of cocaine. No one was in the area so the drugs were deposited as found property.
