Recent Newsmakers Get Supreme Court Bail

Today, the Supreme Court granted bail to 6 persons, 4 of whom made our newscast within the last 3 weeks.

They are Richard McDonald, who was charged with drug trafficking of over 11 kilos of heroine - valued at possibly a over a 1 million US Dollars; Police Constable Luke Moreira who was charged for allegedly raping Vanessa Evans in the San Ignacio Police Station; Police Constable Kyle Serrano who was charged with 3 counts sexual assault against a 13 year-old girl in San Pedro; Denfield Davis, who was charged with 4 counts of unlawful sexual intercourse; Ariece Martinez who was charged for handling stolen goods, and Angel Ruiz, who was charged with keeping an unlicensed firearm.

All of these defendants appeared before Justice Antoinette Moore, and after the court heard from their attorneys, and the Crown Counsel, they were given Supreme Court bail.

They are all expected to show up for each adjournment of their respective cases.
