Teachers Went To Jalacte
Tue, March 29, 2016
And while the Guatemalans came to Belize City for the garland, Wil Maheia today took 100 Belizean teachers to Jalacte - which is at the southwestern border with Guatemala.

We're told that the outing took some three hours and the teachers, who organized the trip got a chance to see for themselves, some of the different cross-border issues at play between the neighboring Villages of Belize's Jalacte and Guatemala's Santa Cruz. We note that Santa Cruz is also an unregulated border point, and also a little shopping hotspot.
