US gymnast Simone Biles is sitting on two gold medals right now - and is already being called one of the greatest gymnasts ever. But, part of that greatness has a strong connection in Belize - because Simone's adopted mother is Belizean, Nellie Cayetano Biles, daughter of former UDP Senator, Silas Cayetano.
The Belize Tourism Board quickly seized on that connection and sent out a tweet yesterday inviting Biles and her gold medal team a free trip to Belize. Biles responded with a tweet of her own saying, quote, "my second home, you betta belize we're coming."
And it wouldn't be her first time here, an article on NBC Sports shows Biles attending her brother's wedding in Belize last year and notes that she is a dual national of Belize and the USA.
