On The Lookout For NEMO
Tue, September 20, 2016
Waiting for NEMO - that's what the folks at Marsha Smith's home on Dolphin Street have been doing since Hurricane Earl hauled and pulled their house which rested on stilts. And as is now well known, they waited too long for that NEMO visit because on Friday, the stilts slipped out of their tiny straps and fell on 20 persons who were preparing carnival costumes. 39 year old Mother of 3 Deborah Humes died due to the injuries she received in that accident. But, smith says like the other revelers, she was aware of the risks - but it's just that the house is the headquarters for the Soca Moca Camp - and they had nowhere else to go:

When we checked today, NEMO still had not reached Marsha's address.
