CDB Gives to SIF

Last Thursday the Caribbean Development Bank approved a loan of US$10 million dollars to Belize. The money will be used by the Social Investment Fund to finance social and economic projects in rural and under-served areas. The aim of the project is to provide these communities with climate resilient infrastructure, basic social services and increase gender equity.

The project is estimated to cost about US$12.5 million, $2.5 million of which is being provided by the Government of Belize.
