| Still Searching For Clues In Case Of Two Burnt In Truck |

| Independence police reportedly have one person detained in connection with the pickup that either caught on fire, or was set on fire with two persons inside. Their charred remains were found in a burnt F-350 pickup that apparently crashed into a lamp-post between miles 2 and 3 on the Peninsula road at 5:00 am on Wednesday. The license plates had been removed from the truck.
Police say they still don't know the identities of the couple, but multiple reports tell us they are suspected to be a pair of Eastern Europeans who have a home on the peninsula. Police have been trying to confirm who owned the pickup - and sources say they are also looking for the pickup which appears to have been moved from the scene by unknown persons after the forensic examiner finished with it.
