Top Cops Son For Drug Trafficking

Today the son of a very senior police officer appeared in court on a criminal charge. He is 31 year old Noel Leal Jr. and he was charged with drug trafficking.

Last night, a mobile police unit was patrolling Faber's Road when they stopped Leal in a Toyota Camry. The officers searched his vehicle and found approximately 10 1/2 ounces of cannabis in the glove compartment.

Leal appeared in the Magistrate's Court today, where he pled not guilty to the charge of drug trafficking. He was released on $1000 bail.

Leal is the son of Assistant Commissioner of Police, Noel Leal, who is the Commander of Police Operations and presently third in command of the entire department.
