| Coast Guard Catches Cocaine |

Also in san Pedro, last night at around 7:30, the Belize Coast Guard was patrolling the lagoon area west of San Pedro. They saw a small vessel exiting one of the channels and signaled it to stop. But, the vessel sped away instead, and the Coast Guard set chase. They eventually caught up with the small boat, and found San Pedro resident, Jaime Young carrying a knapsack. Inside, the Coast Guard found 2.9 grams of cocaine in two transparent plastic bags. Young was taken to the San Pedro Police Station where he was charged with drug trafficking. |
