Lats night we told you about murder victim Phillip Samuels who was stabbed to death, allegedly by a friend.  That friend is Cecil Gill - and police say he turned himself in early this morning:…

"We have the prime suspect in detention, he handed in himself at 12:30 this morning voluntarily so at present investigation continues, we are putting together the relevant interviews, statements and so we expect that by tomorrow following the directives of the DPP we have to submit the file for the DPP's consideration and once the directives are given we expect that by tomorrow we should have charged laid. The witnesses are people that are immediate and are very familiar with both the victim and the suspect so we believe that we pretty much have a good case here."

Gill and Samuels were socializing with friends in an apartment, but things took a turn when Gill allegedly struck one of their female companions. Samuels didn't like it and the two started to fight - ending when Gill allegedly stabbed Samuels fatally in the chest.
