Watersheds And Conservation
Fri, October 13, 2017
The Belize River Watershed is about 8,000 square kilometers. It is the largest freshwater system in Belize. Now, the University of Belize is spearheading a management plan to protect it.

Of course that's easier said than done: 8,000 square kilometers is a very large area to manage, so UB organized a stakeholder conference today at the Dream Valley Resort in Teakettle. 7news was there to find out more about this plan .

The plan is being funded by the World Wildlife Fund in Guatemala .
