11 Year Old Knocked Down Trying To Cross Busy Hwy

An 11 year old boy was knocked down yesterday evening in Belize City - at a busy area of the highway. It happened between miles 3 and 4 near DK Supermarket. Emmett Burgess was crossing the Phillip Goldson Highway to meet his Grandmother. But, he never made it across; the child was hit by an oncoming vehicle. He is listed in a stable condition and reportedly broken his arm.

The driver, 29 year old Ralph Burns from Lords Bank has been served with a notice of intended prosecution.
