| Man Dies In Accident Near Border |

The weekend’s first traffic fatality happened near the Western border on Friday night at about 6:45pm. 59 year old ALBERTO ANTONIO MAAS was run over by a taxi driven by 67 year old Santos Chiquil. Chiquil told police that he was driving towards Benque when he was blinded by the high beams of an oncoming vehicle. He veered to the extreme right of the road and hit Maas, who is form Benque Viejo. He died on the spot.
