| Cops Move Quickly to Recover Gun And Possible Gunman After Shooting |

There was another shooting last night in Belize City. It happened at around 8:30 on Fairweather Street. Tyrone Guy was hanging out at a residence at the corner of Waight and Fairweather Streets when two men rode up on a motorbike and fired several shots at them. Guy was shot to the calf - and taken to the hospital. 20 minutes later police in the same area were pursuing a man on a motorbike. They saw him throw an object between Racecourse and George Streets. Police went to the area and found a 9 millimeter pistol with ten live rounds. Police detained and charged ,Tyree Gentle 19 year old, Belizean laborer of a Belize City address for Kept firearm without a gun license and Kept ammunition without a gun license. He was taken to court today where he pled not guilty to the charges. He was remanded into custody until May 14. |
