He tried to break into his neighbor's home and 28 year old Joel Mcgregor will spend 10 years in jail for it. Today, in front of Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford, he pled guilty to attempted burglary and damage to property. Because he has four previous convictions and was on probation, the Magistrate gave him 10 years for the attempted burglary, and 7 months for damage to property.
The incident occurred around 8:45 last night in Hattieville. Kayesha Cole was in her bedroom when she heard a loud bang. That was the louver breaking - and when she looked through the window, she saw Mcgregor, dressed in black, staring at her. Realizing he had been caught in the act, Mcgregor scampered off - only to be caught by police a short time later.
