The Bar Association of Belize has a new president - and she is a name well known in the news.  It’s Director of Public Prosecutions, Cheryl Lynn Vidal - who was elected last night at the Bar’s Annual meeting.  

She is backed up by Robertha Magnus Usher as Vice President, Jose Alpuche as Treasurer, and Ilona Swift as Secretary.  

Vidal - who is a senior counsel - becomes the first DPP in memory to be Bar President.
