Fired Workers Believes In Union Leader
Fri, May 11, 2018
But the Christian Workers Union which represents two of the six employees does have that moral authority. Today Cecil Jenkins told us he is confident in the union and the impartiality of its President Mose Hyde:...

Reporter
"Do you retain full confidence in your union?"

Cecil Jenkins Sr., Terminated from City Hall
"Jules I have high respect for the Mose Hyde, I believe that he is an honorable man regardless if he is the brother of Cordel Hyde or the brother in law of Mayor Wagner, but on the 4th of May, the union members executive body had a meeting with all members of the Belize City council at 1:30 that afternoon. Mose Hyde said it straight forward, if they touch one they have to touch all. We won't make the one go fight for them self, all of us will fight together. He even went further to make a statement to say 'yes I am Bernard Wagner's brother in law', but that's not my heartstring, that's my sister's heart string. If Bernard Wagner tries to disrespect any member of his union, he said that he will have to have a battle with him. He let us believe, and I do, so I'm just await."

Jenkins worked at the Council for 12 years.
