Summer’s here, and, sadly, that often means an increased number of drownings.  On Monday, a father took his 9 year old son to swim in Corozal and the boy drowned. 

30-year-old Hector Kelly took his son, Matthew Andrew Gonzales, to swim at the beach in Corozal just after midday. About two hours later Matthew was found floating unconscious in the water. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead an hour later.
