A roadside bar on the George Price Highway was robbed early this morning and the proprietor was badly beaten.  

50 year old Yunguang Ruan was closing up the M & S nightclub which is near Saint Matthew’s Bridge when a hispanic male attacked him and started beating him with a stick.  He left the bar owner unconscious, with a large open wound to the back of his head. 

The attacker then raced off in Ruan’s van - which was later discovered just up the road in Harmonyville.

Ruan was admitted to the hospital in an unconscious state.
