Patchakan Weed Bust
Mon, July 23, 2018
A man from the Village of Patchakan in the Corozal District was busted for attempting to traffic weed. He is 24 year old Dean Renald Bruhier.

Police told us how they caught him packing a knapsack stuffed with pounds of weed:...

ACP Joseph Myvett, Head - NCIB
"On Saturday 21st July, shortly before 9pm Corozal police was on mobile patrol on Seventh Avenue in Corozal Town when their attention was drawn to a male person riding a black motorcycle. As a result, he was stopped where a search was conducted on a knapsack that he was carrying on his back which resulted in the discovery of seven parcels of suspected Cannabis which weighed a total of 4.265 kilograms. The person was later learned to be Dean Bruhier, a twenty-four-years laborer of Patchakan Village who has since been arrested and charged for the offense of drug trafficking."

We note that because of the superhot contraband border crossing of Estero, there have been a number of weed busts in that area. It's a crossing for marijuana from Mexico - which is thought to be a more potent strain of cannabis.
