Barbering For The Future
Fri, August 17, 2018
Today 13 boys from the Southside got their certificates in barbering. As we told you, the police partnered with Belmopan barber Nicholas Ara and City barber Winston "Brick City" Harris to show these kids the basics of pulling off a solid haircut. And it seems they caught on pretty well, so much so that the police gave the top 5 participants a complete haircut set. The police even pledged to help one of them in starting up their own barbershop. It was such a successful program that Sr. Supt. Howell Gillett got a haircut from one of the boys. We dropped by the Princess pool side for the closing ceremony.
