| Belize's economy showed strong growth in the second quarter of 2018. That's according to the Statistical Institute of Belize which held its regular quarterly press conference today at the Central Bank. Here's more:...

"Contributing to this increase of 5.4%, we have the agriculture hunting and forestry contributing 1.4% to the overall 5.4%. We have electricity and water contributing 1% to this 5.4%, wholesale and retail trade contributing 0.7%, construction at 0.5% contribution and hotel and restaurants at 0.3% contribution."
Last year's second quarter growth was less than 1%.
